Spring Time Bulletin Board

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs this week.

We just keep adding to our bulletin board! The warmer weather and the sunshine is motivating us.

We started with flowers.......

The "paint" is made from clear Karo syrup and food coloring! It is easier to brush on if the brushes are wet before dipping them into the paint, when it dries....it is shiny and NOT sticky....

Next, butterflies.......

Accordion fold the tissue paper and twist a pipe cleaner around the middle.

and caterpillars, of course.....

egg carton, paint, wiggly eyes and pipe cleaners

Put them altogether...

the best Spring Bulletin Board ever!

Caterpillars growing.....books.....art!

Our classroom has been revived by caterpillars!

We have 5 fast growing caterpillars and everyone goes straight to them when they walk into the room. They are enjoying the process.

I haven't personally had the opportunity to go through the caterpillar/butterfly process. I took the advice of a wise kindergarten teacher: "Tape the cup to the counter." Excellent advice!

I also was given this cool packet.....

They needed something to attach to.......

Now all we need to do is wait....and read some good books
